Professional Installation for Leading Shower Screen & Enclosure Brands
Specialist fitting of Crosswater, Merlyn, Lakes, Matki, Kudos and Coram shower screens, doors and complete enclosures across the South West of England. We have independently installed more than 850 branded shower products, from sliding and quadrant enclosures to corner, rectangular and recess-door systems.

Bought online, from a showroom or through a merchant? We can install it.
Many homeowners choose a recognised shower enclosure brand but then discover that the retailer supplies the product without arranging a suitably experienced installer. Others have a bathroom fitter or plumber completing the room but want a specialist to take responsibility for the glass and enclosure stage.
You can purchase the product from a manufacturer, bathroom showroom, plumbing merchant, online retailer or trade supplier. We can also help identify a suitable route where the enclosure has not yet been ordered.
Before fitting, the product and completed shower area need to work together. The advertised tray size is only one part of the check. Tiling, wall profiles, adjustment ranges, side panels, door movement, controls and nearby furniture can all affect whether the enclosure is suitable.
Shower Screen Installers is independent. We are not owned by, employed by or presented as an authorised warranty agent for any manufacturer. Our role is to provide practical installation advice and careful fitting for the customer and the finished bathroom.
Professional fitting for the products that need careful assembly and adjustment
The main focus of this service is complete manufacturer-produced enclosures and door systems where multiple profiles, panels, seals, rollers, hinges and adjustment points must work together.
Sliding door enclosures
Recess and corner sliding doors fitted with close attention to frame position, rollers, guide blocks, magnetic closure and smooth travel.
Quadrant enclosures
Standard and offset quadrant products checked against the finished tray size, handing, curved profile alignment and available adjustment.
Corner and rectangular enclosures
Complete door-and-side-panel arrangements positioned as one system so the panels, corner connection and door opening remain correctly aligned.
Recess doors and inline panels
Hinged, sliding, pivot or bi-fold doors installed between walls or combined with inline glass where the manufacturer permits it.
Hinged, pivot and bi-fold doors
Door systems set out around opening clearance, hinge or pivot loads, magnetic seals, floor components and nearby bathroom fittings.
Walk-in and fixed-panel systems
Manufacturer-produced fixed screens, return panels and supported walk-in arrangements installed around stability, access and splash control.
Independent installation across six recognised manufacturers
We do not push one manufacturer over another. The right choice depends on the finished space, required door action, preferred finish, available adjustment and the level of enclosure the customer wants to purchase.
Crosswater
Professional fitting of suitable Crosswater recessed, corner and quadrant enclosures, including sliding and hinged-door arrangements. Product code, side-panel configuration, handing and finished opening should be checked before installation.
Merlyn
Installation of suitable Merlyn sliding, quadrant, hinged, pivot and walk-in products across its different enclosure levels. We check the chosen model against the completed tray, tiles, opening and required adjustment before fitting.
Merlyn installation serviceLakes
Careful installation of suitable Lakes sliding, quadrant, corner, hinged, pivot, bi-fold, infold and frameless enclosure systems. The finished room and the exact product configuration are reviewed as one installation rather than as separate components.
Matki
Specialist fitting for suitable Matki corner, recess, sliding, hinged, curved and multi-panel enclosures. Premium systems benefit from precise preparation, controlled handling and methodical final adjustment to protect the product and finished bathroom.
Kudos
Professional fitting of suitable Kudos sliding, quadrant, offset quadrant, hinged, pivot and bi-fold products. We review tray size, opening, wall condition, profile adjustment and door movement before committing to the installation route.
Kudos installation serviceCoram
Installation of suitable Coram sliding, quadrant, corner-entry, pivot and bi-fold enclosure systems. Side-panel combinations, reversible layouts and the available wall-profile adjustment are checked against the finished bathroom before fitting.
A branded enclosure is only as good as the fitting beneath it
Premium glass, quality rollers and carefully designed profiles cannot compensate for an unsuitable opening, poor setting out or incorrect sealing. The installation stage is where the product and bathroom must finally work together.
Finished dimensions and adjustment
The tiled opening is checked against the actual manufacturer adjustment range, not only the nominal tray or enclosure size.
Level, plumb and fixing zones
Tray level, wall plumb, tile positions and usable fixing areas are considered before profiles and glass are drilled and secured.
Door and roller adjustment
Sliding, hinged and pivot doors are aligned so they operate smoothly, meet seals correctly and avoid unnecessary strain on components.
Correct sealing and drainage
Sealant is applied in the appropriate locations without blocking drainage paths or trapping water inside the enclosure profiles.
Before and after: the difference professional fitting makes
A specification can describe the product, but a real project shows how the enclosure, tray, walls, profiles and door movement must come together. These matching photographs give customers a clear view of the starting point and the professionally completed installation.

A clear four-step route from product check to handover
We reduce the uncertainty by checking what has been purchased, how the room has been finished and what the manufacturer-produced system needs before the installation is started.
Send photos and product details
Send the full shower area, tray, walls, product link or model number, approximate measurements and postcode.
Suitability and site check
We review the enclosure configuration and identify any dimensions, access details or finished-site checks still required.
Install, align and seal
Components are assembled, positioned, fixed and adjusted before the enclosure is sealed in the correct locations.
Inspect and hand over
Door operation, seals and visible fitting details are checked, then cure time, cleaning and future care are explained clearly.
Already chosen a Crosswater, Merlyn, Lakes, Matki, Kudos or Coram enclosure?
Send the product link and photographs before the installation date. We can check the likely fitting route and highlight visible concerns before heavy glass and multiple components arrive on site.

Use the purchasing route that suits your bathroom project
The service is not tied to one shop or supply route. The customer may already have the product on site, be planning an order through a bathroom showroom, or need help narrowing down a suitable branded enclosure before purchasing.
Where product selection is still open, photographs and finished dimensions can help identify whether a standard manufacturer product appears appropriate or whether the opening should move to a different installation route.
- Customer-purchased products from online retailers
- Enclosures supplied by bathroom showrooms
- Products purchased through plumbing merchants
- Trade-supplied screens and enclosure packages
- Help reviewing a proposed model before purchase
- Installation after the bathroom has been completed
Removing an existing enclosure
Removal and disposal of an old screen or enclosure can normally be included at additional cost when agreed before the installation. Projects involving existing glass should also review the Shower Screen Replacement service.
Installation issues that are easier to prevent than correct later
A product may be excellent while still being wrong for a particular finished opening. Early checks and methodical fitting reduce avoidable problems with size, operation, stability and water control.
The tiled opening is smaller than expected
Tiles and wall finishes reduce the usable width, meaning a product chosen from the tray headline size may sit outside its adjustment.
The walls exceed the profile tolerance
Adjustable profiles can accommodate only a defined amount. A wall outside that range may need another product or a made-to-measure route.
Tray shape or radius does not match
Quadrant and offset quadrant products must correspond with the tray dimensions, handing and curved geometry intended by the manufacturer.
A side panel changes the usable adjustment
Door-and-panel combinations can alter the final width range, so every component must be checked as part of the complete enclosure.
The door conflicts with nearby fittings
Hinged and pivot doors require movement space, while handles and towel rails can also affect entry, closure and everyday use.
Drainage paths are sealed incorrectly
Over-sealing or sealing the wrong edge can trap water inside the profiles instead of allowing the system to drain as designed.
Doors or rollers are left poorly adjusted
Uneven travel, weak magnetic contact and misaligned seals can make a new enclosure feel disappointing even when all parts are present.
Access for large glass was not considered
Stairs, turns, doors and completed bathroom finishes must allow the panels and frames to reach the room without avoidable damage.
This page is for manufacturer-produced screens, doors and enclosures

Coverage is based on the project, postcode and installation involved. Premium enclosures, technically involved products, multiple-screen projects and retailer-supported installations may justify travel across a wider part of the South West.
Need a reliable installation partner for customer-supplied enclosures?
We also support bathroom showrooms, retail outlets, plumbing merchants, bathroom fitters, designers, developers and other trade customers who need specialist shower-screen and enclosure installation. Detailed trade information is kept on the separate trade service page so this hub remains focused on homeowners.
Frequently asked questions
Practical answers for homeowners purchasing or arranging professional fitting of a recognised shower screen, shower door or complete enclosure.
Which shower enclosure brands do you install?
We independently install suitable products from Crosswater, Merlyn, Lakes, Matki, Kudos and Coram. This includes sliding, hinged, pivot, bi-fold, quadrant, corner, rectangular, recess and walk-in systems, subject to checking the exact product and finished bathroom.
Can you install an enclosure that I bought online?
Yes. Send the product link or model number, photographs of the shower area, the tray or opening dimensions and the postcode. We can then review whether the product appears suitable and what further checks are needed before fitting.
Can you install a shower enclosure supplied by my bathroom showroom?
Yes. We regularly work with products supplied through showrooms, merchants and other bathroom professionals. The enclosure should be available with all components and instructions, and the finished room must be ready for the agreed installation.
Can you help me choose or source the branded enclosure?
We can help review the proposed layout, finished measurements and suitable product route. The customer may then purchase through an online retailer, showroom, merchant or another agreed supplier. The service remains installation-led rather than operating as a general online shower-screen shop.
What information should I send before arranging installation?
Send a full photograph of the shower area, close photographs of the tray and walls, the brand and model or product link, approximate tray or opening dimensions, the installation postcode and any timing or access information that may affect the work.
What happens if the walls are outside the manufacturer’s adjustment range?
The product should not be forced into an opening it cannot safely or neatly accommodate. Depending on the difference, the correct route may be another enclosure size, an extension profile permitted by the manufacturer, remedial preparation or a made-to-measure screen.
Can you remove and dispose of my old shower enclosure?
Removal and disposal can normally be added at extra cost when agreed in advance. Photographs of the existing enclosure and surrounding finishes are needed so access, silicone removal and the condition of the tray and tiles can be considered before the visit.
Do you install complete sliding and quadrant enclosures?
Yes. Complete sliding, quadrant and offset quadrant products are a major part of this service. The tray size, handing, wall profiles, adjustment range, rollers, door closure and seal arrangement all need to be installed and checked as one enclosure system.
Are you approved by or employed by these manufacturers?
No. Shower Screen Installers is an independent installation business. We do not claim to be owned by, employed by, authorised by or acting as a warranty agent for Crosswater, Merlyn, Lakes, Matki, Kudos or Coram.
Will independent installation affect the product warranty?
Warranty terms vary between products, manufacturers and retailers. The customer should check the applicable conditions before purchase and keep the order details, instructions and proof of installation. We provide an independent fitting service rather than manufacturer warranty administration.
Do you also fit branded bath screens?
Yes, suitable bath screens can be fitted. However, this page gives greatest emphasis to complete shower enclosures, sliding doors, quadrant systems, corner enclosures and other technically involved products where specialist assembly and adjustment add the most value.
