In SSI’s experience, sloping-ceiling shower glass is made specifically for the opening. A standard adjustable screen cannot normally reproduce a roof pitch, apex, notch or combined shaped condition.

Important operating principle

Keep the Moving Door Below the Available Ceiling Line

The lowest part of the slope is usually best placed over fixed glass, while the higher part of the opening is used for the door. A door must remain below the available ceiling line throughout its complete swing.

If the moving glass projects above the neighbouring shaped panel or into the slope, it may not open fully and could contact the ceiling finish. The door can be rectangular, shaped or lower than the fixed panel, provided its operation has been checked as part of the full design.

Final glass dimensions are confirmed after the tray or floor, tiling, wall finish and ceiling finish controlling the glass are complete. Decorative silicone can normally follow later, provided the finished geometry cannot change.
